Clerrip's Band

he Weepeep Council, still trembling, began to draw up documents presenting Teerlaghie to Sloggrr in tribute. Clerrip, dismayed but not disheartened by the turn of events, went home thinking of how to save Teerlaghie for the Weepeeps. Talking with other Weepeeps, Clerrip found many, and even some Weepeep Council members, who agreed that Teerlaghie must be kept, even as the risk of incurring Sloggrr's wrath. This group of Weepeeps came to known as Clerrip's Band.

Little by little, Clerrip's Band convinced other Weepeeps that Teerlaghie must be saved. Most of the Council eventually agreed as well, after a few of the most craven members were replaced, and so no more thought was given to presenting Teerlaghie as a gift to Sloggrr.

But for the Weepeeps, enjoying the beauty of Teerlaghie was still a distant dream. When the Weepeeps would approach the mountain, Sloggrr and his henchmen would roar their mighty voices and stamp their terrible feet, and still many Weepeeps cowered in their homes at the terrible din.
